- Research Institute of Disaster and Environments (RIDES) is a science and technology organization under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), operating under the Law on Science and Technology.

- RIDES was established under Decision No. 880/QD-LHHVN, dated November 21, 2016 of VUSTA and was granted a Certificate of registration for science and technology activities No. A-1684, renewed for the 4th time on April 28, 2025 by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
