- Viện Nghiên cứu Thiên tai và Môi trường (Research Institute of Disaster and Environments – RIDES) là tổ chức khoa học và công nghệ trực thuộc Liên hiệp các Hội Khoa học và Kỹ thuật Việt Nam (VUSTA), hoạt động theo Luật Khoa học và công nghệ.
- RIDES được thành lập theo QĐ số 880/QĐ-LHHVN, ngày 21/11/2016 của VUSTA và được cấp giấy Chứng nhận đăng ký hoạt động khoa học và công nghệ Số A- 1684 cấp đổi lần 4 ngày 28/04/2025 của Bộ Khoa học và Công nghệ.
- Viện có trụ sở tại: Số 77, Khu gia đình Binh Đoàn 12, phường Đại Mỗ, quận Nam Từ Liêm, thành phố Hà Nội
